Rose McGowan is showing off her rebellious side by shaving her head and proudly displaying her new look for the world to see. The outspoken actress called going bald "liberating", showing off the results on social media. The 42-year-old actress is known for being outspoken about the double standards in Hollywood, something that has cost her acting gigs.

McGowan has taken a stance on sexism and had her head shaved bald, sharing the moment with fans in a series of photos and a video. "I don't want it anymore #rebelyell #everythingisart," the Jawbreaker actress captioned a video of her hair stylist, Adrian Arredondo, working his magic with electric clippers.

The former Charmed actress debuted her new look on Thursday, writing "No hair don't care. Honestly, it's liberating."

McGowan joked about looking like an alien, but her fans obviously disagreed.

McGowan's hair transformation comes just days after the actress received backlash over comments she made about the Woman of the Year acceptance speech made by Caitlyn Jenner.

McGowan wrote in an open letter on Facebook, "You want to be a woman and stand with us- well learn us. We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you. You're a woman now? Well f**king learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege. Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight. Being a woman comes with a lot of baggage. The weight of unequal history. You'd do well to learn it. You'd do well to wake up. Woman of the year? Not by a long f**king shot."

McGowan later deleted her rant, but still stood by her comments.

She later tweeted and defended her statements, stating that she is not transphobic. McGowan stated she would be happy to fight alongside Jenner, but wants her to know there is a huge fight ahead. She adds they need to move forwards and not backwards.
