Chris Farley, David Spade Fought Over Rob Lowe While Shooting ‘Tommy Boy’

It sounds crazy, but apparently Chris Farley and David Spade really fought over Rob Lowe while filming Tommy Boy.

Spade appeared alongside Lowe during Monday night's Late Late Show with James Corden. During the appearance, Spade detailed a story in which Farley actually got mad at him for hanging out with Lowe without him. And adding to that, it appears the two got into an altercation as a result.

"Is this true that you and Chris Farley used to have fights over Rob?" asked Corden. To which Lowe asserted that it was true, adding, "They fought over me like I was a chick."

As the story goes, the duo met up with Lowe in Toronto to film the movie. Unfortunately, due to his "nerves," Farley had too much food on the trip up and claimed to be coming down with the flu. Therefore, on one Sunday night, he decided to head to bed early. Spade, on the other hand, felt fine and chose to call Rob Lowe's room and invite him out for a drink.

"One drink, fine, we go to bed," Spade said.

Well, apparently Farley heard about the drink and had a problem with it, as he was taunting Spade for the entire following day—until he decided to end it with a fight.

Literally...an actual brawl.

"It was straight out of Atlantic Housewives or something. He threw me down the stairs," claimed the comedian.

The three then discussed the fact that Lowe is not credited anywhere within the film, as his appearance was merely meant as a surprise.

Tommy Boy starred Farley alongside Spade, Lowe and Bo Derek. It was released back on March 31, 1995.

Spade appeared on The Late Late Show to promote his new book, Almost Interesting: The Memoir. Lowe was in attendance to discuss his new FOX series The Grinder, in which he stars alongside Fred Savage.
