Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson donated money to a sick dog named after him that required expensive surgery. A GoFundMe page was set up for the dog, which apparently caught the eye of the kind-hearted actor.

The former pro-wrestler and actor donated money to help the sick little dog.

The GoFundMe page stated the dog was in very bad condition when he first came to the shelter. He was dumped at North Central Shelter with a large metal wire wrapped around the bottom portion of his mouth. It took bolt cutters for the shelter to remove it. Dwayne [also] has a grade 5 heart murmur. Grade 6 is considered the most severe."

The surgery for the dog Dwayne's heart murmur would cost close to $5,000.

Dwayne the dogs GoFundMe site shares a photo of the pooch, stating, "We named him, Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" because he is going to need to be a great fighter to win this battle".

The hunky actor stepped in and donated money to help the dog.

The San Andreas actor adopted two French Bulldogs back in September, who were named Brutus and Hobbs. The puppies were taken outside and ran right into the swimming pool. The actor dove in to save the puppies, fully clothed.

Sadly, Brutus has since passed away after he ate a poisonous mushroom.

Johnson recently announced that he and his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, are expecting a baby girl in January 2016.
