Mick Foley Tells WWE Owner Vince McMahon to Leave Sasha Banks Alone on 'Steve Austin Show'

WWE legend Mick Foley has been quite outspoken on his Facebook page recently about his frustrations with the company's current product, and his comments drew the attention of his contemporary, Stone Cold Steve Austin. On the latest episode of Austin's podcast, The Steve Austin Show, Foley had plenty to say, including telling Vince McMahon to leave Sasha Banks alone.

Foley and Austin had a fascinating discussion about their issues with WWE's on-screen product these past few months, but Foley truly cut to the heart of the issue when he said the following about Sasha Banks.

"She's living the dream. She's got this character that works and I think she's being messed with," Foley said during the show. "If you have someone who is there, who is firing on all cylinders, and I'm talking to Vince [McMahon]. Leave her alone and let her do her thing. You're 70, Vince. She's 23. You don't speak to everybody out there. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it's not there to be gotten. You have people chanting 'We Want Sasha.' It's not without reason," he continued. "Please, Mr. McMahon. Please leave her alone. Let her do her thing. If they want her, give her to them. Let her do her thing. You're looking for faces, future faces of the company. Here's one of them. It makes me sad to see someone work so hard, who is there and is being led in different directions."

Many fans have griped about this, but it's hard to ignore the words of people who were actually in the company alongside McMahon, like Foley and CM Punk. It's impossible to deliver a product that caters to younger people when one 70-year-old man is the sole authority over what happens on camera. McMahon has always made smart business moves, but the sad reality is it's possible his time has past.
