Patti LaBelle and James Wright Chanel to Host Holiday Cooking Show This Season

Patti LaBelle and James Wright Chanel are certainly keeping their names in the papers these days. Ever since Chanel released the viral review of Patti's Pies, LaBelle's bank and heart grew just a little bit more. LaBelle invited Chanel over for Thanksgiving and it just happened to be his birthday as well, making it one to remember. Everyone knows that LaBelle has some serious cooking skills and People magazine reports she and Chanel will be filming a holiday cooking show special set to air on the Cooking Channel. 

"It's one of those blessed stories. For his birthday, which is Thanksgiving, we were at my home. I invited him to dinner before I even met him." LaBelle told People. Their initial meeting was in the kitchen where LaBelle was standing with her back turned when Chanel strolled in with all of his grandness. "It was his first time seeing me, so when he came into the kitchen, he saw me and my back was turned. He came up behind me and had on these beautiful leopard pants and a necklace. We just had a love moment." LaBelle dished to the mag.

Chanel shared and expressed the same emotion upon meeting the diva herself. He told People that he adored her so much that he has knighted her his second honorary mother.

The holidays are about love and spreading good vibes. The energy between Chanel and LaBelle is surely one that most fans hope to experience with their favorite singer.

Rollingout reports that LaBelle and Chanel will be hitting the stage together very soon. Chanel has a great voice and the world has been fanning over LaBelle's voice for quite some time. "We're going to perform in more ways than one. He can be my lead singer and I'll be his background singer."

Patti LaBelle's Holiday Pies premieres Wednesday, December 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. on the Cooking Channel and Food Network on Sunday, December 20 at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT.
