Steve Harvey naming the wrong winner in the Miss Universe beauty pageant on Sunday night has inspired hilarious memes. Harvey accidentally named Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner of the pageant, but then realized Miss Phillipines Pia Wurtzbach was the actual winner.

The cringe-worthy mistake went viral on video, which also led to jokes and hilarious memes on social media.

Harvey appeared embarrassed when he walked on stage to tell the crowd, "Folks, I have to apologize. The first runner-up is Colombia."

The host then stated, "Miss Universe 2015 is Miss Philippines."

It didn't take long for memes about Harvey's gaffe to start making their way around the internet.

Justin Bieber couldn't help but share a funny meme on Instagram, writing, "It's so sad but this is too funny had to post no disrespect."

One funny meme shows Harvey and Leonardo DiCaprio, who has been snubbed for an Academy Award many times, with the caption, "Steve Harvey should host the Oscars so Leo can finally win one."

One post included Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson as Harvey hosting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and staring wide-eyed at a question on the screen that reads, "Who won Miss Universe?"

Another meme was based off the infamous Taylor Swift and Kanye West moment at the 2009 VMA Awards.

Harvey was also skewered in a funny post on Family Feud, a game show he has hosted.

Another Twitter user posted on the awkward moment when Miss Colombia thought she had won Miss Universe.

One great meme on Facebook was based off the State Farm insurance commercials.

Harvey later posted a apology to the contestants on Twitter after the pageant.

Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, later discussed being accidentally crowned the winner of Miss Universe. Gutierrez was teary-eyed and stated that "everything happens for a reason."
