High school crush of Taylor Swift and subject of her hit "Teardrops On My Guitar," Andrew Hardwick, was arrested on Saturday in Hendersonville, Tennessee and charged with aggravated child abuse. According to The Tennessean, Hardwick, 27, was arrested after police found a 3-year-old girl with substantial physical injuries, including severe bruising and lacerations, Hendersonville Police Detective Sgt. Jim Vaughn said.

The outlet also reports that "the injuries to the 3-year-old victim appeared so severe that paramedics called for LifeFlight." The doctors told The Tennessean that the injuries were inconsistent with a fall, not life-threatening, and will be diagnosed as a concussion.

A 5-year-old girl, who was also under the care of Hardwick at the time of the incident, told a witness that Hardwick had struck her and the other girl in the face. According to the affidavits, a man named Christopher Hardwick then went upstairs and confronted Andrew and yelled for help.

Christopher told police he saw Andrew strike the 3-year-old, and police found blood on Andrew's hands.

Christopher told the police that the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26, happened after a long day of drinking for both Christopher and Andrew.

Andrew's wife, Joni, was also arrested for simple assault on an officer and resisting arrest. Christopher was cited with assault and disorderly conduct after shoving an officer and pushing him away when the officer tried to take the young girl from him, according to police.

Andrew, who Swift refers to as Drew in "Teardrops On My Guitar," was one of Swift's crushes in high school. In the song, Swift croons about the fact that Drew seems to be completely unaware of her affections for him.

Two years after the song was released, he showed up at Swift's house unannounced to talk, to which Swift famously said, "Wow, you're late? Good to see you?"
