Rihanna & Beyonce Beef Over? Coldplay Super Bowl Halftime Reunion, Chris Martin Approves

Should Rihanna and Beyonce ignore their differences, and perform together during next month's highly-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show?

Rumors suggest that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin already wants both pop sensations to make surprise guest appearances. Fellow rockers Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion also approve of this addition to their 12-minute slot during the championship game on Sunday, February 7 (2016).

But would Jay-Z's wife reunite with RiRi at Levi's Stadium in California despite their ongoing beef? The "FourFiveSeconds" songstress isn't actually feuding with 34-year-old Bey, but she has a VERY close relationship with her Roc Nation hubby. And the Destiny's Child superstar isn't always too happy about that...

Still, Martin's currently in "advanced talks" with both ladies to take part in this monumental gig (via The Mirror). An alleged insider explains the "True Love" crooner's reasoning:

"Chris and his band know they're not typically as showy as recent performers like Katy Perry and Madonna with all the dancers and, while they love a light show, they still want to bring a few surprises out... Beyonce and Rihanna are both keen to join in the high-profile ceremony and will add just the spark needed to make it an amazing and unforgettable show."

Makes sense, right?

Now in it's 50th year, Coldplay is the first British band to play the Super Bowl following The Who's legendary set back in 2010. They've already made successful music with both the 27-year-old Barbadian BadGal and "Flawless" beauty ("Princess of China," "Hymn for the Weekend," and "Up & Up").

But as for Coldplay's actual performance, show director Hamish Hamilton insists that fans won't be disappointed:

"I think Coldplay themselves are going to surprise a lot of people. They write great music. They're great performers. They're great individuals. They're a great band. I think they and their energy and their positivity will surprise a lot of people in a very positive way."

Stay tuned!
