Ronda Rousey Hosting ‘SNL’ After Loss to Holly Holm: Selena Gomez Appearing as Musical Guest

It looks as though the champ is returning – to NBC. UFC's own Ronda Rousey has agreed to host Saturday Night Live with musical guest Selena Gomez. The news comes as Rousey has been out of the spotlight as of late due to her oh-so-televised loss to fighter Holly Holm.

Luckily, however, it seems she's getting back into the spotlight, something she promised us she'd do some time ago.

TV Line reports that Rousey will host the famed series on Jan. 23. Both Rousey and Justin Bieber's former beau will step into the host/musical guest spot for the first time, but it's undoubtedly not the first experience Rousey has had in the mainstream film/TV world. Lest we forget her appearance at WWE's WrestleMania 31.

And yes, there was her romantic storyline with Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) in the film version of HBO's Entourage.

ESPN notes that Rousey will join a lengthy list of athletes who have stepped into the SNL hosting spot, including Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, LeBron James and Wayne Gretzky.

Whether they'll have the guts to spoof her fight, we'll have to wait and see.

Now, while we're all excited over Rousey's appearance, she recently posted the below to Instagram. Which made us, well, confused.

Hmm...

Anyway, Rousey's episode of SNL will follow Girls star Adam Driver, who has had himself a pretty good run with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

No spoilers, don't worry.

Driver will host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 16.
