Janice Dickinson: Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Case Halted, Can’t Question Him for Now

Bill Cosby has just dodged a bullet in the defamation case that ex-supermodel Janice Dickinson filed against him last year. The judge put a halt on the case, which means that the former model cannot question Cosby at this moment.

It was ruled on Wednesday by the California appeals court that Dickinson cannot depose Cosby in her defamation case at this time, Perez Hilton reports.

TMZ claims that Dickinson says Cosby took part in a campaign to destroy her name by saying she lied about the forced sexual allegations he committed against her.

For a little over a year now, Dickinson has tried in more ways than one to get Cosby to just agree and admit he drugged and raped her in 1982 at Lake Tahoe. TMZ adds that, as of right now, the court put a minor halt on the case and deposition until Cosby has the proper chance to argue why the case should be dropped.

If you are just tuning in, here is a little background information about the allegations Dickinson is putting on Cosby: Dickinson claims her initial involvement with the comedian resulted when he invited her to a discuss The Cosby Show over dinner in 1982. She admits they lost track for a bit but while she was in rehab, Cosby called her and invited her to Lake Tahoe to talk business.

She did an interview with Entertainment Tonight to voice her side of the details of that night. "The next morning I woke up, and I wasn't wearing any pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man. Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember I was in a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen between my legs."

The details of the incident sound horrible. Whether it's true or not, that is up to a jury to decide.
