From the mind of The Wire, creator David Simon brought audiences an exceptional miniseries, Show Me A Hero, which has already earned a nomination from the Golden Globes 2016. The HBO miniseries, starring Oscar Isaac, is available now to bring-watch on Digital HD.

As we previously mentioned, Show Me a Hero is a six-part miniseries that explores notion of home, race and community through the lives of elected officials, bureaucrats, activists and ordinary citizens in Yonkers, NY. During the greatest civil rights struggle of the 1960s, a naive but ambitious Mayor Nick Wasicsko (Isaac) faces a federal court order that orders him to build a small number of low-income housing units in the white neighborhoods of his town. But in his attempt to do so, Nicks unintentionally finds himself tearing the entire city apart. As the municipal government becomes paralyzed, Nicks finds himself on a self-destructive path, which may cost him his political future.

In an interview with Indiewire, Oscar Isaac, who has become bigger than ever thanks to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, describes his first major television role, "Because we knew where we were going, we had more room to be light in the beginning. And just by the nature of the script you know how Nick much you cares about [the housing fight], and there is an energy to Nick in the beginning, a lightness, an optimism and playfulness, that we could actually let breathe for a while, knowing that things were going to take a turn, and we didn't have to telegraph it in the performance."

With the X-Men: Apocalypse actor nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, the entire series is now available on Digital HD, perfectly timed for those who want to watch his exceptional performance.

Show Me a Hero is currently on digital retailers like iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Vudu.

Hosted by Ricky Gervais, The Golden Globe Awards air Sunday, January 10th on HBO.
