After some rumors started spreading earlier this year, followed by a confirmation from director Greg Jacobs, it looked like we wouldn't be seeing Matthew McConaughey in the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL. Fortunately, that news has changed as of this week, with his character, Dallas, reportedly making a cameo appearance in the 2015 blockbuster starring Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and more returning and new stars.

Channing Tatum recently said that while filming this movie, he's been attempting to get Joe Manganiello "naked as much as possible." Read about this sexy news here!

The latest rumor about McConaughey's cameo comes from Page Six, which only quotes some "insiders" suggesting the appearance will happen. While this obviously isn't a confirmation, it would definitely be pretty cool to see Matthew back as Dallas considering how well the character was received by audiences.

According to descriptions of the upcoming sequel, it seems that Dallas wouldn't really be needed. Jacobs described the film as a road trip for the male strippers, with more characters being introduced throughout.

"It's a road trip movie and put it this way, it's different enough that once you see it you'll understand why we made a sequel," he said back in Sept. "No one will be accusing us of making the same movie twice."

Other sources claim that McConaughey is just too expensive these days after his Oscar win. The actor is certainly in-demand for more dramatic roles since, and was even presented with his own star on the Hollywood walk of fame just this week!
