The Master Chef winner is the show's first blind contestant ever, Christina Ma, and she proved that she could delight the taste buds of the judge trio.
She beat Josh Marks in the Season 3 finale with a three course South Asian meal. Now, she has a cookbook deal and is $250,000 richer than before.
Ha made the surprising confession that she "use to only cook scrambled eggs, toast, and ramen." It wasn't until she moved into her own apartment after college that she began to experiment with home cooked meals.
Throughout the show, there are difficulties that Ha faced and overcame. Firstly, being blind has great disadvantages. Some of her equipment had malfunctions causing her to change up her meals slightly. Despite the challenges, Ha persevered to victory.
Ha was in "shock" at the final results.
She said, My first reaction when I won was just utter shock. I just could not believe it. I was shocked for probably 48 hours. I didn't realize how much I wanted it and how much it was attainable."
Some of Ha's recipes will be included in the MasterChef Ultimate Cookbook for Season 3. She hopes that her personal cookbook will be more of a memoir intertwined with her recipes.
