The Apple iPhone 5 release date is officially confirmed for September 21, 2012 with pre-orders beginning on Friday, September 14th. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T will begin to take orders online.
Thankfully the price is not much different than the iPhone 4S. The 16GB will be sold at $199, 32GB at $299, 64GB at $399 with a contract for two years.
Apple's top marketing executive Phil Schiller boasted that it is "the thinnest iPhone ever made by Apple" and two times faster than the iPhone 4S.
Visit your phone carrier website or contact your local store to find out more details how you can get your hands on the iPhone 5.
One significance different in this year's Apple keynote event is that the late Steve Jobs was not present.
