The Church of Scientology doesn't really find it too amusing when people outside of their organization talk about them, which is exactly why we're curious what will happen now that it's being reported that leader David Miscavige's father is writing a tell-all book about the church.

The Hollywood Reporter is writing that Miscavige's father, Ronald Miscavige Sr., has officially signed a deal with St. Martin's Press. Titled If He Dies, He Dies, the publication reports the name refers to a story that was once ran in the Los Angeles Times. It detailed the fact that "David Miscavige had put his father under surveillance because he had grown estranged from the church and his son." While watching the leader's father, one investigator saw Ronald clutching his chest, appearing to be having a heart attack. They then rang up Miscavige, asking if they should do something.

To which the leader merely said, "If he dies, he dies."

Which is, well, completely messed up.

The 55-year-old leader has been the head of the church since its science-fiction writer creator L. Ron Hubbard passed away back in 1986. THR reports that Miscavige joined because of his father. Obviously, Miscavige Sr. one day saw the light and decided to up and leave.

HBO recently released a documentary titled Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, which detailed the inner happenings (supposedly) of the Church. The film held interviews with past scientologists including writer-director Paul Haggis and a number of higher ups who one day chose to leave the church for various reasons.

Take a look at the trailer for Going Clear below:

The release date for If He Dies, He Dies has yet to be announced.
