Season 4 of the CW's Arrow is on its way, and fans of the "Olicity" relationship will likely be very anxious at the mention of this news that Elysia Rotaru will portray a new love interest for Oliver.

Entertainment Weekly spoke to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who revealed that Ollie will have a new woman in his life in Season 4's flashbacks.

"Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," he said. "We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it’s made talking about the flashbacks very difficult. We pick up basically in real time. It’s been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3."

Now, this does not mean that "Olicity" is dead and buried, but this could potentially throw a monkey wrench into the romantic bliss that Oliver and Felicity found at the end of Season 3 if Rotaru's character shows up in the present day.

In related news, Rutina Wesley is set to join the cast for next year. TheWrap reports that Wesley is in talks to join the show for a multi-episode arc in a mysterious role. Could she be a new costume in Starling City? Or is she working for Damien Darhk?

Speaking of the main villain for Season 4 played by Neal McDonough, executive producer Marc Guggenheim offered the first in-depth look at the character in a recent interview with Access Hollywood in which he revealed that Darhk is the most evil villain yet on the show.

"Damien's a different kind of villain than we've had on the show before. He's not as centurion as Ra's, he's not as looney tune as Slade, he's not as -- and people will be surprised I use this word -- but he's not as noble as Malcolm Merlyn. He's pure evil," he said. "We wanted someone who was truly, truly malevolent. We've never done that on the show before. All of our big bads always thought they were doing…the wrong thing for the right reason. This guy does the wrong thing for the wrong reasons."

The executive producer also implied that Darhk will arrive relatively quickly in Season 4. "It's a bad situation to have this guy coming in. And the other thing that we're doing that's different is in past seasons, you've had to wait 'til usually the mid-season finale to meet the big bad and have Oliver confront the big bad. We are coming out of the gate strong," he said. "We're not waiting and actually, that itself has really energized the show and it infuses even the 'villain of the week' episodes with an epic-ness that they wouldn't otherwise have."
