Talk about going out with a bang. A news reporter for KTVA in Alaska surprised viewers when she gave her resignation on air after the station aired a segment about Alaska's Cannabis Club. The club, which the reporter was the owner of, is a medical marijuana group from the state, and the anchor named Charlo Greene gave up on her dreams as a TV anchor to follow her passion of legalizing marijuana in her home state.

Greene threw up her hands after reporting on the story telling viewers, that she will now put "all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska."

The reporter then takes her final moments on live TV to resign from her job, saying, "And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice, but f**k it, I quit," before walking off stage.

Greene leaves the other news broadcaster flustered as the program switches focus to her. The other reporter doesn't know whether or not to go to commercial or continue on discussing other news.

According to the Washington Post, the former news anchor explained to Alaska Dispatch News that no one at the station knew that she was going to quit while she was on the air and they didn't even know that she was the founder of the Cannibus Club. She explains to the news site that she wanted to raise awareness for the issue.

Alaska is looking to join Washington and Colorado as states that allow for the recreation use of marijuana when voters head out to the polls in November. Other states also looking to pass the recreation laws include the District of Columbia and Oregon.
