What do you get when you mix Ellen DeGeneres with Fifty Shades of Grey, one hilarious sexy movie that's what. The TV talk show host poked fun at the fact that the film recast its main lead of Christian Grey from Charlie Hunnam and to Jamie Dornan earlier this year, and thought it would be fun to recast Anastasia Steele with herself in the trailer for the BDSM film. The comedienne placed herself into the trailer over all the Dakota Johnson parts, and we must say that the editing work is pretty flawless, for a second we thought that Ellen might be in the movie, but only for a second.
The talk show host debuted the clip during her talk show, telling her audience members, "Over the years, I've shown a lot of scenes from different movies that I've been cut out of."
"What happens is I get cast and show up and I work like a professional. I learn my lines and I really prepare the scenes, and for some stupid reason, the part gets cut-until now," she teases in the clip. "The Fifty Shades of Grey movie is coming out net year and I am so happy and proud to say I got the lead role, and I am definitely going to be the lead in the movie They're acting like it's Dakota Johnson. It's not. It's me. Because no one know knows their way around a whip more than me."
We aren't going to spoil too much from the Ellen re-cut trailer of Fifty Shades because it needs to be watched to fully enjoy, but we will tease that her reaction to seeing the red room of pain might just be the best part of the whole video.
Another great part for the trailer, according to E! News, is Ellen bundled up in a blanket singing Hall & Oats' "Maneater," as Christian plays the piano for Anastasia.
The film will hit theaters on February 13, 2015, but fans of Ellen will sadly have to deal with her not being part of the final movie.
