If you need any proof as to whether or not Live! With Kelly and Michael is, in fact, a live taping, then allow us to present to you the below video, which shows hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan being interrupted by some strange alarm during this morning's ABC taping. And being the true professionals they are, the morning duo forged onward and attempted to make the show as normal as possible.
And, well, it really wasn't that possible, BUT it sure was entertaining.
The alarm occurred right as the show was kicking off. Ripa was announcing the date as a mysterious (and ear-shattering) noise began making its way through the studio. And it didn't stop until about four minutes into the show. Which made for some very annoying entertaining live TV.
"Should we be concerned with that?" asked Ripa, as Strahan so observantly noted that it doesn't sound like a fire alarm. He then saved himself by joking, "We'll just yell for the rest of the show."
And, guess what, they did...
