Before Season 2 returns to USA Network, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is bringing Mr. Robot: Season One onto DVD and Blu-Ray. This is the perfect opportunity to check out why Christian Slater (Mr. Robot) and Rami Malek (Elliot) make the first season a must-buy event.

During our first season recap, Elliot (Malek) finds himself in hacker territory against Evil Corp with "Fsociety." Elliot finds himself siding with a mysterious man named Mr. Robot (Slater). As Evil Corp sinks its seductive claws on Elliot's best friend, Angela (Portia Doubleday), Fsociety has a way of hurting E Corp. But in order to put their plans into motion, Elliot has to become more than just a cyber-vigilante. Struggling with his own paranoia and delusions, Elliot wants to know what the connection is between him, Mr. Robot, and Darlene (Carly Chaikin). But will the truth bring about the digital revolution that FSociety has been fighting for?

Here are our 5 reasons why you should get Mr. Robot: Season One on DVD:

5) The Best Pilot Ever

The director of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the original Swedish film based on Stieg Larsson's bestselling novel, put his cinematic touches on the script by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail. Niels Arden Oplev's camerawork captures the gritty atmosphere of its New York setting. Notice how Opley just lets Malek react to whatever is happening to the computer screen, instead of dropping in some CGI sequence

4) The Unsung Hero!

Actress Frankie Shaw gives such a charismatic and relatable performance as Shayla. Shaw gives a lot of heart and beauty to a flawed character, an ex-junkie, who has fallen on hard times and just wants to pick herself up. You have to admit, Elliot (Malek) and Shayla (Shaw) look pretty good together on-screen.

3) The Ensemble Cast Ever!

It all starts with Darlene (Carly Chaikin) as she sets the ball rolling, leading up to the shocking answer behind, "Who is Mr. Robot?" As Angela, Portia Doubleday delivers a surprising character arc; one that starts off one way and becomes something different towards the end. Nailing every scene he's in, Martin Wallstrom just chews the scenery as the creepy and psychotic antagonist, Tyrell Wellick.

2) Best Music Ever!

The Rise Robots Rise composer, Mac Quayle, deserves a big round of applause for his electronic music. If you listen carefully, the synthesizing score sounds like a tribute to '80s music, much like the Ryan Gosling movie, Drive. Quayle draws audiences into the world of hacking with his suspenseful tracks.

1) Best Chemistry Ever!

Say what you will about USA network but they know how to cast their leads. There's just something about Christian Slater (Heathers) and Rami Malek (The Pacific) that just clicks, as if the chemistry between them was always there. Every episode has a standout performance from either actor. Don't forget to check out our MStars interview with Christian Slater as we discuss his Kingdom of Bullsh*t speech in the season finale.

Mr. Robot: Season One arrives in stores on Blu-Ray and DVD on January 12, 2016.
