If you're a fan of Ricky Gervais, Sunday night's Golden Globes undoubtedly did not disappoint. Yet despite the brilliance of it all, in terms of its host, that doesn't mean there weren't any awkward moments during the show.

In fact, there were quite a few:

RICKY GERVAIS TAKES DOWN NBC
Let's start with the monologue. Amid the jokes surrounding Sean Penn and his El Chapo meeting or Caitlyn Jenner and what she's done for transgender people throughout the country, Gervais took down the very network that host the Golden Globes.

Stating that NBC was both "fair and impartial," Gervais joked, "That's because they're the only network with zero nominations."

Ouch...

JONAH HILL AND CHANNING TATUM'S WEIRD OPENER
Things got awkward once Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were called up to introduce the very first award of the night. Their bit was something about Hill not being there, but the bear from The Revenant, who looked all too similar to Hill, was in attendance to give the award.

Whatever happened, it was a strange way to kick off the show.

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD AND ORLANDO BLOOM
We understand that some presenters had no funny prepared at the beginning of their set – did we mention Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum? – but this was a bit jarring. It sort of left us thinking, What was the point of Orland Bloom being up there?

JAMIE ALEXANDER AND AMBER HEARD'S SCREWED UP TELEPROMPTER
Something happened when Blindspot star Jamie Alexander and Johnny Depp's wife, Amber Heard, took to the stage. Whatever it was, the former appeared to get pretty pissed.

WHATEVER RICKY GERVAIS SAID TO MEL GIBSON
After explaining to the audience that he enjoys seeing Gervais once every three years because it reminds him to grab himself a colonoscopy, Mel Gibson began his way onward to to introducing Mad Max: Fury Road. Gervais, however, came back out on the stage and asked Gibson a question.

Unfortunately, due to the delay, viewers we unable to hear what Gervais said, but we can only guess it was something shocking considering Alan Cummings' look.

So, were there any other awkward moments from the Globes? You tell us.
