Justin Bieber can't stay away from controversy. While vacationing in Mexico, the 21-year-old "Sorry" singer went sightseeing in the city of Tulum where he was thrown out of an ancient Mayan ruin. The trouble began when the My World 2.0 Grammy nominee attempted to enter the archeological site with a beer in his hand.  He later attempted to take a photo with his backside exposed. Security guards approached and began arguing with his entourage then escorted them all out.

The Director of Mexican National Institute of Anthropology and History, Adriana Velazquez-Morlet, told Entertainment Tonight, "I can confirm to you that Mr. Bieber was kicked out of the Tulum archaeological site yesterday. He and his mates pulled his pants down and insulted our staff at the site." She added, "We have a very strict policy of conservation and respect of the Mexican cultural heritage that applies equally to all our visitors, whether or not they're famous."

According to the AP, the VMA Winner for "U Smile" reportedly also tried to enter a prohibited area and climb onto the ruins.  A YouTube video showed Bieber, wearing shorts and a blue trilby-style hat, entering the ruins and giving a thumbs-up to a fan. Bieber, who's been in Mexico with his new girlfriend Hailey Baldwin, has not made mention of the incident but has posted several photos on Instagram.

It seems the "What Do You Mean" vocalist has a history of making headlines when he travels to Latin America. In 2013, his bodyguards assaulted a photographer outside a nightclub in Buenos Aires. When he failed to respond to the allegations, an arrest warrant was issued. The Teen Choice winner was also caught in Rio de Janeiro spraying graffiti on a building.
