Justin Timberlake admitted that his new singe Mirrors was inspired by his wife Jessica Biel and his grandparents.

The singer/actor released an audio clip on his official website Thursday saying the song is very special to him. His grandparents, William and Sadie Bomar, were together for 63 years before his grandfather died late in 2012, according to Daily Mail.

"It's definitely a special song for me," the 32-year-old wrote. "Mirrors is a love song to someone that you feel like is, you know, sort of your other half. And it became a play on that. Not specifically about looking into a mirror.

"One of the most valuable things in a relationship is being able to constantly change and be individual, but look to the other side to the person that you're with and know that they're changing as well individually, but somehow you two can mirror each other and be the other half of that world that you both create."

Biel and Timberlake wed in October 2012.

Timberlake premiered the music video Mirrors on Tuesday. The video debuted during CW's one-hour special, Target Presents the IHeartRadio Album Release Party with Justin Timberlake. The eight-minute video features a love story that spanned several decades and Timberlake does not appear in it until five minutes into the footage.

He continued on to say on Thursday via his online post, "I think a relationship, when it's working, is constantly evolving because we as individuals evolve. You want to know that the person you're with is evolving with you. People change like seasons."
