Backstreet Boy Nick Carter Arrested and Jailed for Florida Bar Fight

Nick Carter has been arrested after being involved in a common bar fight at Hog's Breath Saloon in Key West, Florida. The 35-year-old All American singer was taken into custody at 8:13 p.m. and booked for misdemeanor battery. In an almost humorous side note, his arrest report listed his occupation as "None."  

It has yet to be seen if he was just being modest or if his music hasn't made its way to the Sunshine State.

News of the unfortunate incident was reported by TMZ. Of course, it's not the first time the pop star has been in this situation. Ironically, back in 2002, Carter was arrested after a bar brawl in Florida and in 2005 for a DUI in California. He later discussed his problems with addiction in his autobiography Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It. "I began drinking heavily in my teens and then moved on to drugs at 18 or 19, starting with marijuana and moving up to cocaine, ecstasy and prescription painkillers among other substances."

Last November, the I'm Taking Off vocalist discussed his sobriety with ET. "I was gaining weight at the time, the color in my face was gone," said Carter. "I was able to look in the mirror at one point and said to myself, 'I don't want to be that person that you turn on the television and they're saying, we feel really bad because he died." In regards to his wife, actress Lauren Kitt, he added, "She was a woman who wasn't afraid to tell me, like, no. She's like my shield, and I'm her shield."

The recent Dancing With the Stars contestant has announced that he and Kitt are expecting their first child. The gender was revealed in the last season of DWTS via the release of blue colored balloons. At the time he stated to E! News, "My wife and I are happy to personally announce that we are pregnant. It has been our dream to have a family together and we cannot wait to welcome our first child into the world."

As for the "I Will Wait" singer's present drama, there is no word yet on his bail and no comment from either the Hog's Breath Saloon or Carter's rep.
