USA's 'Colony' Episode 1: Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies' Pilot Premiere Recap!

USA Network airs the highly anticipated premiere of their sci-fi drama, Colony. In the pilot, also known as episode 1, Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie Bowman (Sarah Wayne Callies) have to figure out how the live behind the wall now that the aliens have taken over.

In the morning, Will is making breakfast for his entire family. While he's joking around with his kids, Will ends up dropping one of the eggs. Will curses at himself just when his wife, Katie walks down the stairs. Though the family is having breakfast together, the photos reveal there is someone missing; their parent's son and the children's brother.

While Katie is looking for insulin, Will goes to work like he always does but he secretly attempts to smuggle himself. Everything is going according to plan as Will hides himself inside a tracts-trailer truck. With the help of Spider (Charles Baker), Will makes him to the wall surrounding Santa Monica.

Just as Katie starts a fight at the black market home, Will finds himself caught in the midst of an explosion. The Resistance had a setup an attack unbeknownst to Will. The soldiers end up posting their guns at Will as he crawls out of the wreckage of the explosion. As Katie makes a run for it, Will finds himself inside a prison. 

Back at home, Katie honestly tells Maddie (Amanda Righetti) that she doesn't have the insulin.  To make matters worse, Katie realizes Will is late for curfew. Violating curfew herself, Katie contacts Will's co-worker Carlos (Jacob Vargas) and finds out about the smuggling job. Hearing news about the explosion, Katie tries the hospital where the truck-bombing victims are being treated, but doesn't find Will. After dodging the military police, she finally learns from Resistance contact Broussard (Tory Kittles) that her husband has been sent to a holding cell. 

Will taken out of his cell and driven to Governor Snyder's fancy cocktail party. Because Snyder knows about Will's FBI past, he makes a job offer. Snyder wants Will to help him find the Resistance leader known as Geronimo. Given a chance at freedom, Will returns home and has passionate sex with Katie. 

Snyder then shows up at Will and Katie's home, still offering the job. Even Katie gets a chance at happiness if she collaborates. Katie will get to have her old job back and get to run the bar again. 

If Will helps Snyder track down Geronimo, the governor promises to help them find their missing son. Branded a traitor, even to his own wife, Will gives in and accepts the job offer. Knowing their lives are slightly better, Will and Katie make a toast and drink the red wine.As Will heads off to work, Katie finishes off the rest of her red wine. In the morning, 

Katie rides her bike to an undisclosed location, a house that serves as a base for the Resistance. Katie reveals to the Resistance leaders, including Broussard, what her husband  is really doing.
