As for exactly what led to the downfall of this young woman with big dreams, it was a couple of things. First, when she decided to participate in the Miss Washington USA Pageant, she did not let them know she had been convicted of a DUI. Since the pageant rules state that all participants must not engage in any illegal activity, Keffeler was in violation of the rules. However she is saying that she keep the information to herself on the advice of her lawyer. Apparently, the paperwork asks if you were convicted of a felony and her lawyer told her that her conviction was a misdemeanor, therefore she did disclose it. Whatever her reason, it didn't seem to make a difference in this case as rules are rules.

There is another piece to this downfall of a beauty queen drama. Seattle police have determined that she was with Major League Soccer player Marco Pappa at his apartment the night he was stabbed in the stomach. The police have not filed any charges, nor have they even claimed that she is a person of interest. But since Keffeler was allegedly there at the time of the stabbing, the police have talked to her and are determining if she has any connection to the incident. Not a lot of details have been released by the police at this time.

Once news broke that Stormy Keffeler would be resigning her crown, she told ABC that she was a changed person and she hoped that she will still have the opportunity to change the world.
