'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers: Will Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell Meet T-Bag?

Because nostalgia goes a long way with audiences, Fox is officially planning the revival of their popular crime drama, Prison Break. In Season 5, will Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) and Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) battle T-Bag (Robert Knepper) once more in their 2016 premiere date?

As we previously mentioned, Fox is currently developing a limited-series revival of its drama series. In the ten episode arc, Miller and Purcell reprise once more as their sibling characters. Described as a "the perfect event series" by Fox co-chairman Gary Newman promised this will be a closed-ended storyline. Details were first sketchy because Michael passed away in the series finale, but it seems like that ending will be tossed away. Robert Knepper also reprised his role as T-Bag in an episode of Breakout Kings.

According to TV Line, "talks thus far are underway with both Sarah Wayne Callies (now starring on USA Network's Colony) and Robert Knepper, to return as Sara and T-Bag." We're crossing our fingers that these agents and managers can get these contracts settled.

The Prison Break revival was originally supposed to start filming this spring. Though this was a 10-episode event series, Fox is now thinking closer to nine episodes, to begin filming as soon as late March.

Fox co-chariman/CEO Dana Walden teases, "The story unravels on an international landscape - it's not a domestic [plot]. We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story."

Just because their protagonist met his demise, that doesn't dead can keep him away. Walden laughs, "It's not a documentary!"

With the pilot already premiering, Callies can currently be seen in as Katie Bowman in Colony from USA Network, which airs Thursdays at 10pm.
