Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and Salman Khan's Sultan were supposed to be released on the same day and, at first, the box office clash looked inevitable, but now the situation seems to have come under control – all thanks to Anushka Sharma.

When it was asked to Farhan Akhtar, the producer of Raees, about the clash with Sultan was quoted by India West as responding:

"That we will see... Let the date come around. We are releasing our film on Eid; will they also release at the same time, that Salman Khan will decide.

It was around the same time when Yash Raj Films announced that the Salman film Sultan will also release on Eid 2016. But now with recent update from a close source to Shah Rukh, according to Bollywood Life, Shah Rukh has said that the release date of Raees could be rescheduled as he does not want to jeopardize the business of Raees and Sultan. Shah Rukh also said that he has friends in Sultan and he would do anything to avoid the box office clash.

"I guess we (Raees) could shift. But I don't know the readiness of SultanRaees will be ready in January, in like 20 days. Plus, they all are friends – Adi (Aditya Chopra), Salman (Khan), Ali (Abbas Zafar), I know them all. So, if mutually we all can figure out a date where one of us goes a week up or down, we might! Or we might not!" Shah Rukh said.

And now the Sultan team has NH10's Anushka, so we think that she might be the reason that Shah Rukh will may think to shift the release dates of Raees.

At the same time, Aditya Chopra from Yash Raj Films took a long time to finalize the lead actress for Sultan. Salman has already shot various portions of the film already and a lot of shots and post-production work are still pending. Also, Sharma has to look in a certain way for the action thriller film, for which she may require extensive training and that will take a few extra weeks.

"This means Sultan will still be on the floors till April-end, and the makers won't be able to complete all the post-production work till Eid. It seems the producers will now look for another suitable release date and make an official announcement soon," added the source.
