Everyone knows that winter marks the beginning of awards show season, with the most recent being the Critics' Choice Awards. While we get the opportunity to see our favorite celebs score nominations and awards in their respective fields, we also get to see them kill it on the red carpet. Which means, you guessed it, it's time for best dressed lists!
Believe it or not, award show season is also an important time for the fashion market; designers get the opportunity to showcase their designs on the people the world has their eyes on: celebrities. The Critics' Choice Awards is an awards show presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association to honor achievements in cinema by the finest in Hollywood. During this past week's show, pale colors seemed to be the trend of the evening followed by embellishments.
In true MStars News fashion, it is only right that we give you readers our best dressed list from the 2016 Critics Choice Awards.
GINA RODRIGUEZ
The 31-year-old actress looked absolutely gorgeous in this short-sleeved orange gown by Safiyaa. The Jane the Virgin star complimented the form-fitting gown with a simple yet elegant updo with a side bang paired with a bold red lip for a beautiful finish.
MARISA TOMEI
The Big Short's Marisa Tomei turned heads on the carpet in this above the knee Zuhair Murad embellished gown. The beauty paired her gown with black pointed-toe pumps, black clutch, minimal makeup and her dark brown tresses blown out for a gorgeous look.
ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY
Whiteley was a vision in black. This Saint Laurent gown looked stunning on her gentle frame and gave the perfect dose of sexy with a high slit and cleavage bearing cut.
JENNIFER ANISTON
Aniston looked nothing short of amazing in a soft neutral colored Saint Laurent gown. The beauty showed off her famous legs in a thigh high slit for a sexy yet classy look.
RACHEL MCADAMS
Arguably the best dressed of the night, McAdams nailed this look. The actress was the definition of Hollywood glam in this shimmery oxblood Elie Saab gown. Stunning!
