The clock will be ticking again as Fox plans a spinoff from their popular 24 franchise. With ex-CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) missing in action will former CIA agent Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski) take up the reigns in 24: Legacy?

As we perviously mentioned, Fox is developing a 24 spinoff, which would revolve around a new twenty-something male terrorist hunter. The spinoff will follow the traditional 24 format, each episode represents an hour of a single day. Manny Coto and Evan Katz will serve as writers and executive producers. Fox will most likely launch the spinoff as a limited series, much like Live Another Day. Sutherland would return in a cameo but would have no involvement in the series.

We also mentioned, Mary Rajskub revealed if she would only return to the 24 franchise under one condition, "I'm not buying it without Kiefer. I think you can have him sort of not there for a bit, but you have to find him eventually. All roads lead to Jack, and you can't find Jack without Chloe."

According to Deadline, Fox has ordered the pilots of Shots Fired and three early drama pilot order, which includes 24: Legacy, Lee Daniels' music coming-of-age project, and Dan Fogelman's baseball-themed Pitch.

As reported by TV Line, since the revival centers on a military hero who finds himself on a troubled return to the U.S., does this mean agent Kate Morgan (Strahovski) will show up?

Though the Chuck actress did "a fantastic job" in Live Another Day, Fox co-chair/CEO Dana Walden mentioned that Kate Morgan "is just not the story that the executive producers came in to pitch us.

Walden adds, "We didn't go them to say, 'We want a reboot.' They came in to us to say, 'We have a fantastic idea,'"

The 24 spinoff is currently in its pilot stages.

Readers, would you watch the 24 spinoff without Kiefer Sutherland?
