Jamie-Lynn Sigler revealed she has secretly been battling multiple sclerosis since she was 19 years old, while she was still starring as Meadow on The Sopranos. Sigler decided it was the right time to reveal her diagnosis days after her wedding to Cutter Dykstra.

The 34-year-old actress kept her medical condition from being public for 15 years because she wasn't prepared emotionally to disclose the information.

Sigler just married baseball player Dykstra in Palm Springs, California on Saturday, with former NSYNC star Lance Bass officiating the ceremony.

The actress spoke with People magazine she first noticed a heavy feeling and tingling sensation in her legs but was shocked when she was diagnosed with MS. Sigler said, "You'd think that after all these years, somebody would be settled with something like this, but it's still hard to accept."

The actress played the role of Meadow Soprano on the HBO show The Sopranos for six seasons and told several cast members about her medical condition.

Sigler married manager Abraxas Discala in 2003 shortly after being diagnosed with MS, but the couple divorced three years later.

She revealed that after her divorce her health went downhill and she became reclusive due to weakness in her right side and suffering incontinence.

The actress reveals the symptoms have gotten worse and she cannot run and has to concentrate on every step she makes.

Jamie-Lynn revealed the condition to her now-husband Dykstra a week after they started dating. Dykstra said, "I know she was nervous in telling me. But I just wanted to make her not feel so alone... to know that I would always be there."

Sigler takes the medication Tecfidera twice daily, but got off the medication before becoming pregnant with her son Beau. She hopes to have more children in the future.

The actress previously battled Lyme Disease in 2000 and was paralyzed temporarily. She said she was scared of dying, saying, "I realized it could all be taken away in a moment."
