Days of Our Lives actress Kassie DePaiva will soon be saying goodbye to Salem. She recently sent out a tweet to let her fans know her final on air date for the show.

DePaiva, who has played Eve Donovan since January 2014, sent this message via Twitter:

Since she first came on the scene to DOOL, DePaiva's character had been in the middle of some front-burner storylines causing some serious trouble, including a fling with her daughter's boyfriend. However, the actress' screen time soon dwindled after the death of her onscreen daughter, Paige. Last fall it was confirmed that she was let go from the NBC daytime soap opera.

Once the news broke that she would be exiting the show, the actress released a statement via her website that spoke about not having any regrets. She talked about her "remarkable experience" on the show, as well as how it "saddens" her to have been let go. Her true classy nature showed through as she ended the statement by reminding fans, "Characters come and go just as actors, writers, and producers. Some we love... Some we hate... But fortunately for all of us the stories still go on. Keep watching and here's to 50 more years of Days of our Lives!!!"

Although fans will no longer see Kassie DePaiva on air on Days of Our Lives after Feb. 2, Soap Opera Network is reporting that the character will quietly exit town. If that is actually true, then that means there is always the possibility that the actress and her character could show up in Salem again. In the meantime, fans can catch her on the ABC show Castle, where she will guest star with Nathan Fillion, Tuc Watkins and Darlene Vogel. The episode is slated to air in February.
