Following the recent #OscarsSoWhite controversy and the boycott that has followed, Clueless actress Stacey Dash has come under fire after implying that racism may stop if institutions like BET stopped segregating and holidays such as Black History Month disappeared. Of course, the Viacom company has hit back, and even The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg has given her two cents by as well.

According to The Grio, the company's music side, BET Jams, has gone on a trolling campaign against the star. After pointing out that Dash had once starred in The Game, a show from their channel, they've now taken to social media to bring back some of Dash's forgotten projects. Under the hashtag #NeverForget, the channel has pointed out a few of the times Dash starred on music videos by black artists, including Kanye West's "All Falls Down" and MJG's "That Girl."

Besides #NeverForget, some other accompanying hashtags for the Dash's trip down Memory Lane include #WeStillLoveYou, #YoureOneOfUs and #EvenIfYouDontWantToBe.

In the meantime, Yahoo! News reports that Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg, who is controversial more often than not but is finally catching a break in the past few days, spoke last Thursday about Dash's comments regarding Black History Month, and she made a pretty interesting point about it.

"The thing is [black history] is not taught. Asian history is not taught in school as it pertains to America. American history holds all of us, and [Dash] is right in that, yes, we are all Americans, but we're not all treated like Americans," said Goldberg in the show, teaching a lesson in how things are done. "One of the reasons that there is a BET is because networks wouldn't take a lot of shows that has an all black cast."

Still, Goldberg is hardly the only person who has spoken out against Dash's recent comments. BET's website reports that even GOP presidential nominee Ben Carson has chimed in on the subject, and while he kept things diplomatic and even pointed out Dash is his friend, Carson said the actress had left out that, while it'd be great that society came to a point where BHM wasn't necessary, "we're not there."
