Former NFL superstar, and Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, Vince Young, has found himself on the wrong side of the law when he was caught drunk driving in Texas on early Monday morning, Jan. 25.

According to TMZ Sports, the 32-year-old athlete's white Chevy Silverado was spotted "drifting across lanes" at 40 to 60 mph speed. He was then pulled over in a suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI). He was booked in an Austin, Texas, jail and his bond was set at $2,000.

KXAN reported that Young was "uncooperative and polite," he initially refused to take a breathalyzer and blood test but he went with the police willingly without making any scene. He then admitted that he had "three to four bottles of beer," he was mumbling and slurring according to the police who handled the incident.

“On [the arrest record alone] I think it would be very difficult to get a conviction… for the state against Mr. Young for driving while intoxicated,” Austin defense attorney Eric Harron explained to KXAN News. “It appears that the only evidence they have is a little of mumbling speech and swaying balance.”

Although he refused to have a blood test, police confirmed that they have already got a warrant to "conduct" a test on him. Harron believes that this is a good sign that there's a solution whenever a perpetrator refuses to cooperate.

“Now I’m seeing more of an aggressive prosecution on total refusal cases, trying to punish people who refuse,” he said. “Usually those cases here in Austin are coupled with a warrant blood draw.”

After settling his $2,000 bond, Young was released and was picked up by a black Range Rover around 10 a.m. on the same day of his arrest.
