'Jurassic Park' Star Laura Dern Dating Rapper Common? He's Already Met Her Kids!

Jurassic Park star Laura Dern is reportedly dating actor and rapper Common. The actress and Common were spotted together last week leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant together, with their new relationship now being confirmed by Us Weekly.

Us Weekly (print edition) reported that the 48-year-old actress has even already introduced Common, 43, to her two children: son Ellery, 14, and daughter Jaya, 11. Dern's friend revealed the actress is "having fun and seeing where things go."

The publication's source also said of the Twin Peaks actress, "She has a thing for musicians."

Dern and Common appeared very happy together as they left the Beverly Hills restaurant Bouchon after a dinner date two weeks ago.

The Jurassic Park actress was previously married to singer Ben Harper. The couple tied the knot in December 2005 after dating for five years. Harper originally filed for divorce in October 2010, but the couple reconciled and attempted to work on their marriage. Dern later filed for divorce in July 2012 to end the marriage.

Laura has previously dated actor Billy Bob Thornton, Jeff Goldblum, Vincent Spano, Renny Harlin, Kyle MacLachlan and Treat Williams.

The rapper has previously been romantically involved with tennis star Serena Williams, actress Taraji P. Henson, singer Erykah Badu and video vixen and author Karrine Steffans. Karrine was recently in the news after secretly marrying former Scandal star Columbus Short.

Common has been keeping busy on set, currently filming the drama Leavy and action film, John Wick 2.

Dern will be starring in the newly revived Twin Peaks on Showtime, working again with David Lynch. There are reports suggesting the actress may be playing the role of Agent Cooper's secretary Diane (who has never been seen previously).
