Hopper Penn, son of Milk star Sean Penn, reportedly pushed a photographer earlier yesterday as father and son walked into a Beverly Hills building. According to reports and the paparazzo's account he shared with TMZ, the 19-year-old Penn pushed the unidentified photographer and then the two got into a back-and-forth argument. Words were exchanged, including lots of swear words and then the son of Sean Penn and actress Robin Wright called the black photographer the N-word. Sean walked into the building before his son but was not around during the altercation.

After cameras caught the 52-year-old Sean Penn walking into the Beverly Hills building, the paparazzi turned to see his son walking briskly behind him. Hopper pushed his way passed the one photographer, who was clearly surprised and responded, "Don't you ever do that. You're a kid." At this, Hopper starting calling the photographer as "f**king f****t," which was also a surprise. "What?! That's the kind of talk you're teaching him, Sean. Huh?" said the photographer. As the conversation continued, Hopper finally said, "F**k you, you're a f**king f****t. Shut up you f**king n***er," before disappearing down a hallway of the building.

Nearby police officers heard the commotion and spoke with the photographer. He decided not to press charges.

Hopper later made a statement to TMZ to apologize:

"I was accosted by paparazzi and made to feel like an animal - threatened and under attack, but that does not condone my own actions. ... I deeply regret my choice of words."

Hopper's father has not released a statement regarding his son's actions.
