Tyra Banks is a mom! The supermodel and her boyfriend Erik Asla have welcomed their first child via surrogate. The 42-year-old television personality shared her happy news on Wednesday, posting a photo of a newborn's hospital hat. The couple are parents to a baby boy named York.
Banks posted the sweet image of a baby beanie on social media. The happy new mom wrote, "The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin.
"As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

The model said in a statement to People, "We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik.
"As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms."
Tyra has previously discussed her problems conceiving with her photographer beau Erik. In September 2015, Tyra cried on her FABLife television show as she talked about bullies on social media that always ask why she hasn't had any children. The model said, "I'm so tired of seeing on my social media, 'why don't you have kids, why don't you have kids?' You don't know, you don't know what I'm going through. You have no idea."
She went on to explain that she always planned to have a large family but things hadn't turned out that way in her life.
The America's Next Top Model host stated, "For a long time, it was so funny, I was 23-years-old, I used to tell myself 'in three years I'm going to have kids.' Then I turned 24, 'in three years I'm going to have kids.' Every single year I just kept saying that. And then after a while it's like, now I want to, it's not so easy."
Tyra's boyfriend reportedly has three daughters who live with him in Los Angeles.
