In a new interview, Kris Jenner shared how O.J. Simpson proclaimed his innocence and he desperately tried to convince her that he didn't murder his wife, and Jenner's best friend, Nicole Brown Simpson back in 1994. Jenner revealed the details of their conversation when she visited him in jail.

“I talked to him while he was in jail,” Jenner told PEOPLE magazine. “He was trying to tell me he didn’t do it, and what he thought had happened. I just listened to him, to what he was saying to me.”

Even though she was also friends with Simpson, the 60-year-old momager didn't quickly took his side as he might have expected because she thought that the evidence was too much for her to believe otherwise.

“I’m a very logical person,” she said.”I want to give everybody the benefit of the doubt, but the evidence was so strong. [What he said] didn’t have any effect on what I thought.”

Jenner's late husband, Robert Kardashian was part of the NFL superstar's defense team and they helped him got acquitted of Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman murder charges.

This was especially hard on Kardashian to be defending Simpson and at the same time, he's also mourning the loss of his dear friend, Brown. Jenner also had to deal with the situation because she loved both Simpson and Brow,n but their relationship got into a tragic end.

“I went to bed one night and the next morning, my entire universe had changed,” she continued. “[OJ and Nicole] were two of the best friends I ever had in my entire life. It was devastating because not only did I mourn the loss of Nicole, but I mourned the loss of OJ and that relationship,”

The highly-publicized crime will be recounted in the new FX miniseries The People vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story which will air on February 2.
