Months after Mark Hamill's return to the big screen in the reprisal of his first iconic role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the actor is set to reprise his second most beloved character in the geek world. Cartoon Network is bringing back the DC Comics superheroes for a new show, Justice League Action, and Hamill is back voicing The Joker, facing Kevin Conroy's Batman once more!

According to Comic Book Resources, Cartoon Network has just confirmed they're creating a new series based on their DC characters. Like their popular Teen Titans Go!, the new show will have 11-minute episodes, and Conroy and Hamill will be reprising their roles as the Gotham superhero and his nemesis from the beloved '90s cartoon Batman: The Animated Series.

Before the official announcement, there had been rumors about Cartoon Network creating a new Justice League series for months, particularly after Reddit user UnknownJ25 shared a snap from what seemed to be the Warner Bros. Burbank offices. In the picture, there was a posted of what seemed to be a Justice League show that hadn't been announced at that point, so comic book fans obviously got super excited about the prospect --- and they didn't even know then that the 90's voices would be coming back!

Io9 reports that other members of the impressive voice cast will include Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold and Academy Award nominee James Woods (also the voice of Disney's Hades) as Lex Luthor, for possibly the coolest villain line-up in a recent animated series.

For now, it appears that every Justice League member is going to be a part of the new animated show, as there are sketches for the likes of Plastic Man, Zatanna, Shazam, Blue Beetle, Hawkman and classic and beloved superheroes like Green Arrow and The Flash.

There are still no dates for the upcoming Justice League Action series.
