NFL Latest: LA Interest in Peyton Manning, Broncos Rookie Questioned in Prostitution Sting

The NFL is a never ending circus of news--there's always something going on. This week is no different. Here are two of the most interesting stories circulating around the league today. Coincidentally, they both involve the Denver Broncos. (Though you must admit, Peyton Manning going to LA is a lot less juicy than a rookie being questioned about a prostitution sting!)

Manning option for Rams in 2016

Yes, we're on the cusp of the Super Bowl and here we are discussing possibilities for 2016. But this idea warrants the discussion. It involves Peyton Manning and Los Angeles. Let's discuss.

According to ESPN, Manning is reportedly a player of interest, perhaps even a target, for the Los Angeles Rams at quarterback. Even though Manning has one year left on his Broncos contract, it's widely understood that this will be Manning's last year in Denver. He'll either retire a Bronco, or attempt to outwit father time for at least one more year somewhere else.

And now, it appears as though one likely somewhere else appears to be LA. Supposedly the Rams have expressed interest in bringing the great to Los Angeles in 2016--the teams first year back in the city in some 20-plus years.

It's noteworthy to point out that the Rams have currently committed to Case Keenum as the starter for next season. Take that for what it's worth.

Broncos rookie questioned as part of a prostitution sting

Denver Broncos rookie Ryan Murphy won't be taking part in the team's preparations for the Super Bowl. Instead, he'll be forced to view it on TV like many around the globe--except his TV is probably an 80-inch flat screen with diamonds around the frame, unlike most--after being detained and questioned as part of a prostitution sting in San Jose, California, along with his brother.

And while Murphy was later released and not charged in the incident, the Broncos decided to send the safety practice player home.

Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said this in a statement in regards to the matter:

"Although practice squad safety Ryan Murphy was not cited by police, we decided it was best for the team if we continued our preparations for Super Bowl 50 without him," said Kubiak. "Ryan is returning to Denver but his status as a practice squad player has not changed at this time."

The incident reportedly occurred in the parking lot of a Motel 6 in San Jose. Murphy's brother is believed to have been charged for solicitation.
