Super Bowl weekend isn't just about watching the big game, and there will be dozens of music events in San Francisco before the Broncos and the Panthers take the field.  Verizon's go90 Live free concert series at The Regency Ballroom will kick off Thursday, February 4 with performances from Fall Out Boy, Skrillex and Hunter Hayes. The night before the Super Bowl, Metallica and Cage The Elephant will play a sold out show at AT&T Park, and tickets are currently averaging $210, with the cheapest ticket available for $87.

Super Bowl Weekend resembles a mini music festival for fans.  DirecTV and Pepsi are sponsoring concerts at Pier 70, including Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Alicia Keys, OneRepublic and The Band Perry will perform at concerts on Saturday, Friday and Thursday, respectively, and Dave Matthews Band will perform on Thursday and as part of the Sports Illustrated Experience. On Friday night, Nick Jonas is scheduled to perform at the annual "ESPN The Party." Tickets to see Dave Matthews Band at Pier 70 are currently averaging $237 on the resale market, with the cheapest ticket available for $135, according to data provided by TiqIQ. Fans traveling to San Francisco for the weekend can find affordable Super Bowl hotels through Hipmunk.com, where lodging starts for as low as $135 per night.

Many of the artists taking the stage in San Francisco have big summer plans of their own on the road. Recently, Dave Matthews Band announced that they'll be hitting the road this summer for a big tour to celebrate 25 years as a group, and Red Hot Chili Peppers were named as a headlining act at BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley. Shortly after the Super Bowl, Fall Out Boy will hit the road for a headlining jaunt featuring AWOLNATION and PVRIS that will run until July.
