Fox has just cast one of its own TV stars to co-star in their upcoming TV remake of cult classic musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Christina Milian, currently co-starring in Grandfathered alongside John Stamos, will be taking the role of Magenta, and she'll be joining in the rest of the Transylvanians to do the "Time Warp" again!

According to Deadline, Milian has been officially cast in the role made famous by Patricia Quinn in the film. In the 1975 classic, Quinn also provided the lips for the opening sequence in "Science Fiction/Double Feature," but it's unclear whether Milian will be doing the same.

In the story, Magenta is Riff Raff's sister and the housemaid of Frank-N-Furter's castle as well as one of the Transylvanians visiting Earth. Along with her brother, she wrecks havoc in the house after Brad and Janet arrive, releasing the dogs on Rocky and, ultimately, going back home with Riff Raff.

After Annaleigh Ashford was hired to play groupie Columbia, Milian's casting marks the second-to-last of the main cast of the film, with only one character left to cast: Dr. Everett Scott. The other older character, the Narrator/Criminologist, will be played by original star Tim Curry, so could we hope Barry Bostwick, the movie's Brad Majors, to play the remaining role?

As Entertainment Weekly reports that so far the remaining cast for the remake is Laverne Cox as Frank-N-Furter, Reeve Carney as Riff Raff, Ryan McCartan as Brad, Victoria Justice as Janet, Adam Lambert as Eddie and Staz Nair as Rocky.

Shooting for the project will begin next March and the film is set to premiere on Fox sometime in the fall, though there are no official dates as of yet.

The point of the remake is still unclear at this point. Originally, it was thought it'd be a celebration of the film's 40th anniversary, but since that happened last year, it seems implausible. However, so far it appears as though the made-for-TV remake is being planned as something of a homage, particularly considering Curry's casting.
