After Guardians of the Galaxy blew our minds last 2014, fans have been gearing up for another round for the sequel to the hit Marvel movie. With the continuation of the story line, new adventures and characters are expected. So it is of no surprise that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 added new actors to its cast. However, no one expected Marvel Cinematic Universe adding a stand-up comedian to its cast of characters.  Now it is being reported that Steve Agee will be in the sequel.

It's been buzzing around that Steve Agee may have gotten himself a good role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The revelation came out as he wasn't able to go to a pre-scheduled podcast recording because of a scheduling conflict.

It was on Doug Benson's Doug Loves Movies' recent episode that the comedian somewhat revealed to everyone the reason for Agee's absence. He said, "[Steve] just found out because he's in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he has to shoot that bulls*** instead of being here with us today."

Agee, as a comedian, has done a lot of cameos and guest appearances. He'd been a regular on The New Girl and The Sarah Silverman Program to name among many others. He's also a regular "contestant" on @Midnight. Agee has already had a working history with James Gunn on superhero comedy Super so it is no surprising that Gunn would get him if a right part came up.

Though there is no exact news as to which character would Agee play, there is a possibility that he would just be a minor alien character or be a major one. Rumor has it that Agee might become the voice of Ego, the living planet, which is expected to be one of the major roles of the new film. Since Agee has voice acting on Adventure Time, his experience might help him when taking on Ego as a character. With his large build, he could easily pull off a booming voice for a massive planet.

As Guardians of the Galaxy was a really big hit, its sequel must be pressured to live up to the expectations or even exceed what the first film achieved. But with Steve Agee on its cast, comedy can really be expected on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that is set to hit the theaters in 2017.
