The CW Network and CBS are bringing together two DC Comics legends in The Flash and Supergirl crossover episode. This is the prefect opportunity to check out why Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) make up the "World's Finest."

As we previously mentioned, Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg tease, "We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally, thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone's enthusiasm and support."

We have 5 reasons why The Flash/Supergirl crossover episode excites us here:

5) Are We Going To Earth-3?

In our recent recap, after Harry (Tom Cavanagh) stole the scarlet speedster's power, he confessed to everyone he was secretly working for Zoom. After hearing Harry's confession, Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) then gave him a beatdown and threw him into a cell. Knowing Harry's daughter is in danger, Barry and the team are going with Harry to Earth-2. Does this mean there are other portals that lead to multiple Earths?

4) How Are They Going To Meet?

Will Barry Allen and Kara Danvers meet each other as their secret identity or in their costumes? Does Superman or his best friend, Jimmy Olson (Mechad Brooks) know about The Flash? Is it a train ride from Central City to National City, like it is with Star(ling) City. If Amanda Waller and ARGUS didn't know about metahumans, what has the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO) been hiding?

3) TV's Justice League!

Let's see if we've got the lineup already! There's Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), Supergirl (Benoist), the Flash (Gustin), Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), and Martian Manhunter (David Harewood). Hell, Matt Ryan bring in one more time as John Constantine! There has even been references to Hal Jordan! Is Green Lantern not too far?

2) Crisis On Infinite Earths!

We also mentioned, the first season foreshadowed the Crisis On Infinite Earths storyline. In order to save the world, the scarlet speedster and Superman's cousin have to sacrifice themselves. We already know that in the newspaper from the future that the Flash is missing in action and the article is written by Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton).

1) World's Finest!

Grant Gustin shared a snapshot of the upcoming script on his Instagram account and wrote, "Really really. Flash is about to meet Supergirl. @melissabenoist" Knowing that the title of the episode, World's Finest harkens back to the crossovers between Batman and Superman. Though they cannot stand each other, the Dark Knight and Man of Steel have respect for each other as they take out the trash, including The Joker and Lex Luthor.

The Flash/Supergirl crossover episode airs Monday, March 28 at 8pm.

Readers, are you excited to see this crossover?
