Back by popular demand, Fox recently aired the first three episodes of the revival of The X-Files. This is the prefect opportunity to check out the agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in episode 1 through 3.

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with an all-new 6 episode arc. Not only are the two leads back to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner once again for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

Check out our 5 thoughts on The X-Files revival episodes 1-3 here:

5) It's A Human Conspiracy!

In the revival premiere, My Struggle, Mulder and Scully are reunited by Tad O'Malley (Joel McHale) to investigate an alien abductee named Sveta (Annet Mahendru). Realizing the Roswell crash was a smokescreen, human have been using alien technology for darker purposes. There is nothing scarier than a government-controlled alien spaceship.

4) What Life Will Never Be!

In Founder's Mutation, the paranormal investigators find themselves yearning for a life they never had. Scully wonders what life would have been like if she never gave up her son, William, for adoption. As a mother, Scully would take her boy to school and nurse back him back to health But how could she protect William from the truth that he is an alien/human hybrid?

3) The Funniest Episode Ever!

Mulder and Scully Meet The Were-Monster was written and directed by Darin Morgan, who also wrote the Emmy-winning Jose Chung's From Outer Space. This episode was so meta, even Mulder made a reference to Gillian Anderson's role in Hannibal; "You've seen one serial killer, you've seen them all." Scully is so badass, you don't even need to see her give a suspect a beatdown.

2) Tributes Everywhere!

In Mulder and Scully Meet The Were-Monster, the creature transforms after being bitten by a human. Though this was a nice twist on the monster lore, the episode had its touching moments. At the cemetery, Mulder places flowers on Kim Manners' grave. The Supernatural executive producer directed the ninth season finale, The Truth. Written on his tombstone were the words Manners would always say before starting a take, "Let's Kick It In The Ass."

1) I'm not crying! You're crying!

In the tear-jerking finale of Founder's Mutation, Mulder cannot let go of the horrible memory of watching his sister, Samantha, being taken away by aliens. Writer/director James Wong (Final Destination) recreated Samantha's abduction shot-for-shot as Mulder helplessly watched his son being taken away. Mark Snow's music was pitch-perfect as Mulder stared at William's photo.

The X-Files continues for 3 more episodes Mondays 8pm on Fox.
