This week, we'll finally witness the awesomeness of Deadpool, thanks to 20th Century Fox. That's not the only thing in store for comic book movie fans. Bryan Singer's long awaited X-Men: Apocalypse is set to be released later this summer. Based on its freshly released Super Bowl trailer, we'll be getting one fabulous movie indeed.

From the looks of the new trailer, there will be a lot of destruction, missile launching, destroyed buildings, people screaming, mutants fighting and the world will surely witness hell on earth. There is a glimpse of an X-Men face-off against Apocalypse and his forces.

The world's oldest mutant, Apocalypse, has unleashed some odd technology that made the world fall apart. The clip showed us Mystique being choked by En Sabah Nur, and it looks like her shapeshifting ability wouldn't allow her to escape her attacker.

Main characters are also shown in the new preview. In a slow motion flip, Psylocke cut through a car with her pink energy blades. Angel strikes someone with his metallic wings in a scene that is actually the first time we have seen him use his wings to strike someone.

There is also a new shot of Cyclops' signature optic blasts. However, the rest of the trailer is the same as what the last released trailer showed.

X-Men: Apocalypse takes place 10 years after X-Men: Days of Future Past where Professor X, played by actor James McAvoy, and his mutant students are living in peace. The world came to accept mutants after Days of Future Past. Some even began to worship them as gods.

These worshippers, however, mistakenly woke up Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac). Apocalypse is the world's first mutant. He ruled in Ancient Egypt and he has ability and powers superior to any other current mutant. With his awakening and his Four Horsemen, Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Angel (Ben Hardy), Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Apocalypse plans to rule the world. Luckily there will be resistance from the X-Men.

With somewhat Biblical events in the story, there will be a hope that good will always prevail. However, after every war the world, or universe for this matter, will never be the same. As the tagline says, "Only the strong will survive."

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 27.
