Emma Watson, who became an international star as a child actress after nailing the role of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, has grown into a feminist icon in front of our very eyes, while BBC's Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch, has turned in one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood as well as a Marvel superhero -- and now, the two are also Oxford University visiting fellows!

According to Yahoo! News, the two actors are part of a group of 11 non-academics who have been appointed at Oxford's Lady Margaret Hall. Their fellowships mean they're invited to "visit, dine, debate or perform" at the school and take part of the culture prestigious university's culture.

Watson, who graduated Brown University with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature in 2014, is no stranger to Oxford, having attended Worcester College in 2011 during her time as a student.

The list of Oxford visiting fellows is quite varied, also including Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys as well as a neurosurgeon, a police constable and film director, Beeban Kidron.

While more often than not, visiting fellows are people from the academic world, there have been more than a few entertainers who have received this honor in the past, including Stephen Fry, Game of Thrones actress Diana Rigg and even X-Men superstar, Patrick Stewart.

"They are people drawn from a variety of backgrounds, callings and professions and we want them to form a bridge between our own academic community and the worlds they inhabit and represent," Alan Rusbridger, the college's principal, told The Guardian when announcing this year's list of fellows. "Some of the names we announce today did not go to university. One left school at 16. We think we can learn much from them - and we hope they treasure their time with us."
