At the end of the past season of House of Cards, Claire (Robin Wright) walked out on her husband Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) when he needed her the most, during his presidential campaign. A year later, Netflix is about to release season 4 of the show, looking further into the race -- and the new trailer shows that their problems continue, and Claire's life seems to be very much in danger.

According to The Verge, this is the first official trailer for the show's fourth season, after a number of teasers including Spacey talking about the election in character. With the full season's premiere date only weeks away, it seems that fans of the political drama can expect some truly tense moments between Frank and Claire.

In a disturbing voice over, Frank tells someone (seemingly his now-estranged wife) that she hasn't had to suffer for anything

"You have no idea what it means to have nothing. You don't value what we have achieved. I have had to fight for everything my entire life," Frank's chilling voice over begins. Right after that, Claire is heard saying she'd seen their future together. "We had a future until you started destroying it," he adds.

Considering Frank Underwood has proved more than once that he's willing to do anything to gain power, including murder, Claire must know how dangerous it is to get on his way. Could Frank be willing to kill her after all those years of support and lose his last shred of humanity?

As BGR reports, the trailer is filled with "blink-and-you-miss-it scenes." Some of these include Claire moving to a new place, Frank campaigning, Jackie and Remy (Molly Parker and Mahershala Ali) getting back together and Doug Samper (Michael Kelly) getting into what looks like a fight to death.

Contrary to the third season, which received mixed reviews over being slow and uneventful, it seems like the fourth installment will bring all the action back to that scary world where Frank Underwood is President.

The new House of Cards season, the last with creator Beau Willimon as showrunner, will premiere on Netflix on March 4.
