Indiana Pacers' Paul George & George Hill, Teaming up With Ben Higgins' 'The Bachelor' On ABC

Indiana Pacers' stars Paul George and George Hill appear to be taking their talents on the hardwood to, well, The Bachelor--along with their coach Frank Vogel. The three are said to be teaming up with Ben Higgins (this seasons "bachelor") in an episode to air on Monday, February 15.

Higgins is an Indian-an (?) through and through. He grew up in the state and even studied at the University of Indiana. Naturally, his favorite NBA team is the Pacers. Using his newfound star power, it appears as though he will be able to take his fandom for the team to another level--shooting hoops, exchanging stories, etc. Oh yeah, his date will be there too.

So that should be good fun!

As for the Pacers exploits on the court, they are a team who's struggling to find a consistent run of form. Since the turn of the calendar year, they have yet to put together more than two consecutive wins. And while they look more than capable on both ends of the court, the biggest issue appears to be the effort.

That certain lack of effort was on display in the Pacers 117-95 loss to the Charlottle Hornets at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

"They were up more for this game than we were," Paul George, future wingman to Ben Higgins, told the Indianapolis Star. "A game like this, especially on our floor, we've got to handle business, (but) we fell through."

The lethargic display on the court is what aided the Hornets in shooting a season best 51.7 percent from the floor. That and perhaps a lack of mental focus (insert murmors related to all things Bacherlor here). Although coach Vogel didn't see it that way.

"I think it's beyond that," Vogel said, in regards to blaming the loss on a lack of focus. "We got outplayed by a team that's been playing with great confidence that quite frankly isn't a good matchup for us as we're evolving, as we're transitioning into playing with two bigs and trying to train our 190year-old how to guard 3-point shooters, which is really new to him."

That answer feels like a round about way of saying: the loss definitely has something to do with a lack of focus. But who knows, maybe he genuinely believes what he said. You be the judge.
