There are only a few days before the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead Season 6, but fans couldn't stop talking about what could happen next in the show. One of the cliffhangers in the midseason finale was the fight between Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Morgan Jones (Lennie James), who has been keeping a surviving Wolf (Benedict Samuel) in his home. Their fight resulted in the Wolf's escape and the abduction of Denise (Merritt Wever), so the big question is, Will Carol and Morgan finally see eye-to-eye and work together in a group?

The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman weighed in on the skirmish between Carol and Morgan, explaining that Morgan's beliefs will not sit well with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the group.

"Morgan has a very solidified way of thinking that he truly believes in that is at times very much in conflict with almost everyone in Rick's group, and that's going to be a huge part of this back half of the season," Kirkman revealed to Entertainment Weekly before adding that the character's morals will continue to cause a riff between him and Carol.

"I would say that the conflict between him and Carol is only beginning," he said. "I would expect to see, a little bit more of that in the back half of the season as Morgan is still finding his place within this group."

It may be difficult for Morgan to adjust to being a part of a team, especially when he has spent most of the apocalypse on his own. However, he'll need to learn to play by the rules if he doesn't want to go up against Carol once again.

So what can we expect in the second half of The Walking Dead Season 6? Kirkman promises that the world is about to get bigger for Rick's group and the Alexandrians.

"Alexandria is a step," he said. "Seeing our mid-season finale, it's a very shaky step right now, and the outcome of that, it's certainly unknown, but Alexandria is kind of a gateway to this larger world, to rebuilding some semblance of civilization. And it changes the kind of stories that we're telling."

The Walking Dead Season 6 will return to AMC on February 14.
